Yanda, Webb active for Ravens; Dickson, McPhee scratched

Pro Bowl right guard Marshal Yanda and starting cornerback Lardarius Webb aren't listed among the Ravens' inactives and are slated to make their preseason debuts tonight against the Carolina Panthers.

Both Yanda and Webb went through warmups and have been participating in full-team drills at practice, preparing to make their return from injuries.

Yanda underwent rotator cuff surgery to repair a damaged shoulder five days after a Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Webb had surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered last October against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Ravens scratched several players, including newly acquired running back Delone Carter.

Carter was traded to the Ravens from the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday in exchange for reserve wide receiver and kick returner David Reed. The Ravens haven't assigned him a jersey mumber yet.

The Ravens also won't play linebacker Jameel McClain (spinal cord contusion), defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore (right anterior cruciate ligament), center Ryan Jensen (foot surgery), wide receiver Deonte Thompson (sprained left foot), tight end Ed Dickson (right hamstring), who had already ruled himself out for tonight after practicing on a limited basis this week, tight end Dennis Pitta (right hip surgery) and rush linebacker Pernell McPhee (undisclosed).

McPhee practiced this week, but underwent offseason groin surgery and has a history of knee issues.

The Panthers scratched wide receivers Armanti Edwards and Joe Adams, fullbacks Mike Tolbert and Michael Zordich, offensive guards Edmund Kugbila and Tori Mobley, tight end Ben Hartsock, wide receiver Domenik Hixon, linebacker Chase Blackburn, defensive end Mario Addison and defensive tackle Frank Kearse.
