Marshal Yanda

Marshal Yanda and Kelechi Osemele, the Ravens' two starting guards, are not practicing today in a full-padded training camp practice.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has been giving his players periodic days off from training camp and that appears to be the case with both Yanda and Osemele. Starting left tackle Eugene Monroe was given off from Friday's practice but returned for today's session.

Osemele is coming off back surgery in November but he said yesterday that he hasn't felt this good since he was in college.

Tight end Owen Daniels and outside linebacker Pernell McPhee are also not practicing. It isn't clear why they aren't participating but it's possible that they are just getting routine off days as well.

Middle linebacker Daryl Smith (groin), cornerback Lardarius Webb (back), defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (back), nose tackle Terrence Cody (hip) and guard Will Rackley (head) also remained sidelined.

Like Monroe, cornerback Jimmy Smith, who was off yesterday, returned for today's practice.

The Ravens will play their first preseason game Thursday night against the San Francisco 49ers.
