Baltimore Ravens

Thursday's injury report

Two of the five players who returned to practice Wednesday – albeit on a limited basis – sat out Thursday's session, according to the Ravens' injury report. And both are starters.

Wide receiver Lee Evans (left ankle) and strong safety Tom Zbikowski (concussion) did not practice. They joined cornerbacks Chris Carr (left hamstring) and rookie Jimmy Smith (high left ankle sprain), who did not practice for the second consecutive day.

Starting left guard Ben Grubbs (strained ligaments in right toe) was listed as a limited participant despite appearing to watch practice during the portion of the session open to the media.

Four players – inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (hamstring), free safety Haruki Nakamura (right posterior cruciate ligament), wide receiver/kick returner David Reed (left shoulder strain) and rookie running back Anthony Allen (thigh) – were upgraded to full participation after being limited Wednesday.

For the Houston Texans, who will visit M&T Bank Stadium Sunday, starting wide receiver Andre Johnson (right hamstring) and fullback James Casey (strained pectoral) missed their second consecutive day of practice, but quarterback Matt Schaub (right shoulder) returned on a limited basis.

Johnson and Casey were joined by starting wide receiver Kevin Walter, who did not practice due to an illness.

A pair of starters in running back Arian Foster (quad) and inside linebacker DeMeco Ryans (elbow, hamstring, knee) were limited for the second straight day.

But two other starters in defensive end Antonio Smith (ankle) and right guard Mike Brisiel (ankle, knee) were upgraded from limited to full participation. Backup running backs Ben Tate (groin, Achilles) and Derrick Ward (ankle) also practiced fully after being limited Wednesday.

Starting wide receiver Jacoby Jones (knee) and cornerback Kareem Jackson (knee) and reserve cornerback Jason Allen (knee, groin) practiced fully for the second consecutive day.
