Terrell Suggs' second-half struggles in 2013 apparently didn't alter the opinion around the league that the longtime Ravens defender remains one of the top pass rushers in the NFL.
Suggs was recognized last night as the 26th-ranked player on the NFL Network's Top 100 list. The voting is done by players around the league.
The Ravens' all-time leader in sacks, sack yardage and forced fumbles, Suggs, 31, has become a mainstay on the top 100 list.
He finished 56th last year despite playing in only eight games after he suffered a partially-torn Achilles’ tendon in the offseason. He ranked as high as 11th after a 2011 season in which he was named the Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year.
Suggs finished the 2013 season with 80 tackles, 10 sacks and one fumble recovery in 16 games. Nine of those sacks came in the Ravens' first eight games.
Ravens nose tackle Haloti Ngata (45th), right guard Marshal Yanda (55th) and quarterback Joe Flacco (58th) also have been included among the top 100.
The NFL Network has yet to unveil the top 20.
