Ravens' Lardarius Webb, Terrell Suggs active Sunday vs. Indianapolis Colts

Webb had a good week of practice, moving well, creating optimism about his outlook. Having Webb active, if he's mobile, could provide a boost to the secondary against Colts quarterback Andrew Luck.

Webb has been dealing with a lingering lower back injury and has played just four snaps this season. He was pulled against the Cleveland Browns because of a lack of mobility and didn't play against the Carolina Panthers last week. Webb missed the first two games and the entire preseason. He had offseason sports hernia surgery.

Meanwhile, Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs is active after returning to practice Friday from a groin injury that kept him from practicing Wednesday and Thursday. Suggs was listed as questionable, but he was expected to play and will.

The Ravens officially ruled out defensive end Chris Canty, who didn't make the trip to Indianapolis. He has been dealing with an illness and knee injury.

With Canty sidelined, the Ravens are expected to utilize a combination of DeAngelo Tyson, outside linebacker Pernell McPhee and new defensive end Lawrence Guy to fill in for him.

The Ravens also scratched defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee meniscus) and left tackle Eugene Monroe (arthroscopic knee surgery), inside linebacker Arthur Brown, guard John Urschel, tight end Phillip Supernaw (thigh) and wide receiver Michael Campanaro (River Hill.).

Jernigan is unable to do most activities right now, including driving, a source said. Monroe had surgery last week and is expected to miss at least a month, according to a source.

Undrafted rookie James Hurst will start at left tackle with Monroe out. Growing up in the suburbs of Indianapolis, Hurst was a blue-chip recruit who chose North Carolina over Georgia, Florida, Ohio State and Mississippi.

The Colts benched former Ravens center A.Q. Shipley, replacing him with undrafted rookie Jonotthan Harrison.

The Colts scratched cornerback Jalil Brown, outside linebacker Chris Carter, center Khaled Holmes, offensive tackle Jamon Meredith, defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles, guard Jack Mewhort (ankle) and former Ravens defensive tackle Arthur Jones.

Jones, who signed a five-year, $33 million contract with the Colts in March, is being replaced by Ricky Jean Francois. With Mewhort out, Lance Louis starts at left guard.
