With the Ravens' 20-13 victory over the Houston Texans in Sunday's AFC divisional round, John Harbaugh became the first head coach in NFL history to win a playoff contest in each of his first four years.
The first three seasons entailed winning on the road. Although the Ravens beat the Texans at M&T Bank Stadium, Harbaugh said the team's experience of having to succeed away from home could be an aid as the club travels to Foxborough, Mass., to meet the New England Patriots in the AFC championship game.
"It helps, just by the fact that we've done it," Harbaugh said Monday. "Most of our team has been there before, and then those young guys can relate to the older guys, and the older guys can share some wisdom. But it's not going to impact necessarily this game, except to the extent that our guys have been there before and it's certainly not going to be anything new for them. And that's a good thing."
