Suggs says Leach is 'not a fullback trying to be a tailback'

Fullback Vonta Leach has been a popular subject for interviews this week as his former employer, the Houston Texans, will pay a visit to his current employer, the Ravens, on Sunday.

Outside linebacker Terrell Suggs was asked about having Leach in the locker room, and Suggs' reply could be interpreted as a compliment and a swipe – but not at Leach.

"You've got to like Vonta's personality," Suggs said. "As you can see, we have a lot of characters in this locker room. We all like to have fun. He came in and fit right in. As far as his play on the field, I think it speaks for itself. I think he knows his role as a fullback. He's not a fullback trying to be a tailback. He's a great fullback, and he plays Ravens-style football. So that's always good."

So was Suggs poking former Ravens fullback Le'Ron McClain, who signed with the Kansas City Chiefs after making no effort to hide his desire to touch the football as a ball carrier? Only Suggs would have the answer to that question.

McClain, by the way, has rushed seven times for 17 yards and caught three passes for 19 yards in five contests with the Chiefs.
