Steelers linebacker Jason Worilds fined $10,000 for hitting Ravens tight end Crockett Gillmore in the head

Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker Jason Worilds was fined $10,000 by the NFL for unnecessary roughness, punishment stemming from him taking a swing at Ravens rookie tight end Crockett Gillmore, according to a league spokesman.

During the Ravens' 30-17 AFC wild-card win over the Steelers at Heinz Field, Worilds hit Gillmore with a glancing open-handed blow to the chin in the first half.

Gillmore didn't retaliate against Worilds but later beat him for a 21-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter.

Steelers safety Mike Mitchell and Ravens cornerback Rashaan Melvin weren't fined for their personal fouls assessed for illegal hits on Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones and Steelers running back Ben Tate, respectively.
