The Ravens worked out four cornerbacks Tuesday, and one player was signed to the team's practice squad.
Cornerbacks Anthony Gaitor, Quinton Pointer, LeQuan Lewis and Brandon Smith worked out for the team at its training complex, according to sources, and Pointer was signed to the practice squad.
Gaitor, who has previously played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has 12 career tackles and five passes defensed in 12 career games.
A 2011 seventh-round draft pick by the Buccaneers from Florida International, Gaitor has also played for the Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins. In college, he had 197 career tackles, four sacks, 11 interceptions (including three returned for touchdowns) and 35 passes defensed.
Lewis, who has played for the New York Jets, Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys in his career, has five tackles and one interception in nine career games. He went undrafted out of Arizona State and also has spent time with the Tennessee Titans, Oakland Raiders, Chicago Bears, New England Patriots, Arizona Cardinals as well as the Toronto Argonauts in the Canadian Football League.
Smith, a big cornerback at 6 feet 1, 205 pounds, also played at Arizona State. In the NFL, Smith has played for the Carolina Panthers, Jets, Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers.
