Ravens awarded defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi off waivers from Bengals

The Ravens were awarded defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi off waivers from the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday, and they cut rookie running back Fitzgerald Toussaint in a corresponding move.

Bilukidi, a 2012 Oakland Raiders sixth-round draft pick, joins the Ravens as their sixth defensive lineman. The 6-foot-5, 320-pounder played in 13 games in 2012 and recorded eight tackles and one pass deflection.

In 2013, he played in five games for the Raiders and had five tackles with one sack. Bilukidi, who was born in Angola and went to high school in Canada, played collegiately at Georgia State.

At one point last year, Bilukidi's contract with the Bengals had to be voided because he didn't have the proper work permit transferring from his Raiders work papers. The situation was fixed, and he was re-signed by the Bengals.

Toussaint, who is eligible to be re-signed to the practice squad, was promoted to the active roster Saturday, but he was inactive for the Ravens' loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
