Signs point to Ravens' James Hurst starting for left tackle Ronnie Stanley against Raiders

Rookie left tackle Ronnie Stanley was absent from Friday's practice. Unless the sixth overall pick of the 2016 NFL draft makes a late appearance, it appears that James Hurst is poised to make his first start of the season in the Ravens' game against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

Stanley sat out Wednesday's and Thursday's sessions because of a foot injury. On Thursday, he was not wearing the boot he wore on Wednesday, but his absence for a third straight day suggests he will not be available for Sunday.

Rookie left guard Alex Lewis (concussion) returned after missing the past two days. He did some individual and positional work, but appeared limited. If Lewis cannot make his fourth start of the season, Ryan Jensen will likely start in his place.

In addition to Stanley, cornerback Sheldon Price (thigh) was absent from practice.

Outside linebacker Terrell Suggs returned to practice after sitting out Thursday's session as part of a veteran's day off. Also participating were wide receiver Kamar Aiken (knee), rookie running back Kenneth Dixon (strained medial collateral ligament in left knee), outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil (foot), return specialist Devin Hester (thigh), defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee) and guard John Urschel (shoulder).
