Hall of Fame former Orioles star Cal Ripken Jr.will be the Ravens' honorary captain for Sunday's AFC championship game against the New England Patriots in Foxborough, Mass.
Ripken will accompany the Ravens' captains to midfield for the pre-game coin flip at Gillette Stadium.
The Ravens felt that Ripken, who played his entire 21-season major league career with the Orioles, best exemplified Baltimore.
