ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Ravens running back Ray Rice said he didn't aggravate his left hip flexor strain during a 23-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills during which he wasn't a factor, rushing for just 17 yards on five carries.
The Ravens gained just 24 rushing yards on nine carries, smothered by the Bills' run defense, averaging just 2.7 yards per carry as a team.
"Nobody plays the game 100 percent," Rice said. "This is the NFL. Everybody plays the game banged-up and beat-up. I came out of the game healthy. I'm looking forward to next week."
Meanwhile, wide receiver Deonte Thompson suffered a concussion when he was hit by Bills strong safety Jim Leonhard. Leonhard was flagged for hitting a defenseless receiver.
Backup linebacker Albert McClellan will undergo a magnetic resonance imaging exam for a right shoulder injury, the same shoulder that he had offseason surgery on to repair a torn labrum. Starting cornerback Lardarius Webb strained his thigh and wide receiver Marlon Brown also sustained a hamstring injury.
Webb isn't expected to be sidelined long and could return this week against the Miami Dolphins. He was able to run and backpedal on the sideline, testing out his leg.
"I don't know, they just kept me out," Webb said. "I'm feeling OK."
Wide receiver Tandon Doss is dealing with a sore lower back after landing awkwardly on it in the second half, but he remained in the game.
