Putting up more than 200 rushing yards in a game helped Ray Rice and the Ravens get a win – and the running back a weekly honor.
Rice was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week Wednesday after amassing a career-best 204 yards and one touchdown on 29 carries in the team's 24-10 win against the Cleveland Browns Sunday. Rice boasted the highest yards-per-carry average (7.0) among all tailbacks with more than 10 attempts this past weekend.
This the second time in Rice's career that he has earned this honor. He was the AFC Offensive Player of the Week in Week 15 last season.
Rice is the second Raven to win this award. Rookie wide receiver Torrey Smith was the AFC Offensive Player of the Week when he caught six passes for 165 yards and one touchdown in the team's 31-24 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11.
