Retirement not in Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome's plans at this time

Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome doesn't sound like a man contemplating retirement, or ever pursuing another job.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end was asked Tuesday if he has considered how much longer he wants to be in this position. Newsome, 58, has been running the Ravens' personnel department since their inaugural season and was given the title of general manager in 2002.

"No, only because every time I walk in this office, it's a good day," Newsome said during a news conference at the Ravens' training complex. "I enjoy coming to work every day, and the first time I walk in here and it doesn't feel good, then that's when I'll call the boss and let him know.

"I walked in today and I felt good -- even though I knew I had to spend time with [reporters]. I don't like that a lot."
