Ravens have sixth pick in 2016 NFL draft

The Ravens started Sunday in position to pick eighth in the first round of the NFL draft in April. By day's end, they had moved up to sixth.

The loss to the Bengals, coupled by wins by the San Francisco 49ers (5-11) and Miami Dolphins (6-10), moved the Ravens two spots. They haven't selected a player that high in the first round since they took running back Jamal Lewis fifth overall in 2000 with a pick that originally belonged to the Atlanta Falcons.

The Ravens selected fourth overall in 1996 1997, when they nabbed left tackle Jonathan Ogden and outside linebacker Peter Boulware.

This year, the Tennessee Titans (3-13) will draft first, followed by the Cleveland Browns (3-13), San Diego Chargers (4-12), Dallas Cowboys (4-12) and Jacksonville Jaguars (5-11).

The first round of the three-day draft is on April 28.
