Although Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith is still dealing with a sprained right knee, he's active for today's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Smith did not display his usual explosiveness in warmups and his running was labored Friday, but the thinking is that it's unlikely he's going to further damage his knee and will have to deal with the injury for the remainder of the season.
Smith was characterized as a game-time decision by coach John Harbaugh on Friday. The former Maryland standout has never missed a game in the NFL.
Against the Miami Dolphins last week, Smith's knee swelled during warmups before kickoff. He played 15 snaps, but wasn't targeted with a pass.
Rookie running back Lorenzo Taliaferro is out due to a sprained foot and rookie Fitzgerald Toussaint is active. Toussaint was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday.
Rookie tight end Crockett Gillmore is active despite a sore back that sidelined him against the Dolphins.
The Ravens scratched rookie wide receiver Michael Campanaro (River Hill) for the sixth game in a row. He's a healthy scratch, having recovered from a pulled hamstring.
The Ravens also deactivated veteran cornerback Antoine Cason, who joined the team this week, nose tackle Terrence Cody, defensive end DeAngelo Tyson, center-guard Gino Gradkowski and inside linebacker Arthur Brown.
Rookie safety Terrence Brooks is active after being a healthy scratch against the Dolphins last week.
Cornerback Rashaan Melvin is active for the first time since joining the Ravens.
The Jaguars deactivated running back Denard Robinson, cornerbacks Teddy Williams and Jeremy Harris, linebackers A.J. Edds and Khairi Fortt, offensive guard Tyler Shatley and defensive end Andre Branch.
