The Ravens will place a second-round contract tender on restricted free-agent wide receiver Kamar Aiken, according to an industry source.

The tender is worth $2.553 million and makes it likely that the 26-year-old wide receiver, who had a breakout 2015 season, will be back with the team in 2016.

If another team signs Aiken to an offer sheet, the Ravens would have an opportunity to match that offer, or they would receive that team's second-round draft pick as compensation. That's an unlikely scenario.

Aiken started 14 of 16 games last season and led the Ravens with 75 catches and 944 yards and five touchdown receptions.

The Ravens aren't expected to tender fellow restricted free agents Brynden Trawick, Marlon Brown and Chase Ford. All three, though, are candidates to return on different deals.
