The Ravens have signed record-setting former Arundel and Syracuse wide receiver Alec Lemon to their practice squad.
Lemon spent his rookie season with the Houston Texans last year under current Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak, but he was on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. He was cut by the Texans this August.
At Syracuse, Lemon was an All-Big East Conference selection and set the school's all-time record with 201 career receptions. Lemon ranks second in Syracuse career receiving yards with 2,596 yards and third with 18 touchdowns.
Lemon caught 73 passes for 1,074 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior. As a junior, he caught 68 passes for 834 yards and was named second-team All-Big East
As a senior at Arundel in 2008, when he was an All-Metro and All-State selection, Lemon set the state single-season record for receiving yards (1,616) and tied records with 103 catches and 23 touchdowns. He also returned three kicks for touchdowns and intercepted six passes.
