The Ravens signed quarterback Keith Wenning and eight other players to reserve-future contracts Monday.

Wenning was drafted in the sixth round and spent the season on the practice squad. With Tyrod Taylor a pending unrestricted free agent, Wenning is a candidate to become the Ravens' backup quarterback behind Joe Flacco next season.

The Ravens can carry up to 90 players on their offseason roster, up from 53 during the season.

They also signed quarterback Bryn Rynner, who was cut by the Denver Broncos in training camp. He wasn't on a roster during the regular season. He played collegiately at North Carolina and spent time in the Arena Football League with the Arizona Rattlers after being cut by Denver.

The Ravens also signed defensive backs Quinton Pointer and Victor Hampton, tight ends Konrad Reuland and Allen Reisner, defensive end Zach Thompson and fullback Kiero Small (Cardinal Gibbons).

All of those players were on the Ravens' practice squad this season except for Hampton.

Hampton went undrafted out of South Carolina and has spent time with the New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals.

Hampton has had off-field problems in the past, including an arrest last year for disorderly conduct in South Carolina stemming from an altercation with his sister.

Hampton was investigated for a nightclub incident in which he and South Carolina teammates allegedly beat up a club promoter in New York, but no charges were filed.
