Jah Reid, Brandon Williams among the Ravens inactives

DENVER — The Ravens didn't have much in the way of surprises Thursday night when they made their scratches for an NFL regular-season kickoff against the Denver Broncos.

The Ravens' healthy scratches were offensive guard Jah Reid with rookie offensive lineman Ricky Wagner active instead as a swing tackle-guard as well as rookie outside linebacker John Simon, a fourth-round pick from Ohio State, and seventh-round wide receiver Aaron Mellette.

The Ravens' active wide receivers are Torrey Smith, Jacoby Jones, Brandon Stokley and rookie Marlon Brown.

Starting tight end Ed Dickson (right hamstring) and backup rush outside linebacker Pernell McPhee (knee) are active.

The Ravens also deactivated defensive tackle Brandon Williams (toe), defensive lineman Arthur Jones (undisclosed illness) and center Ryan Jensen (foot surgery).
