Ravens rookie inside linebacker Nigel Carr has been fined $15,750 by the NFL, a punishment stemming from hitting Lions quarterback Shaun Hill in the head-neck area last week, according to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello.
Carr was penalized on the play for roughing the passer.
The undrafted free agent hit Lions quarterback Shaun Hill in the third quarter.
Meanwhile, veteran outside linebacker Paul Kruger wasn't fined for his late hit on Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Kruger had expressed concern that he would be hearing from the league for taking that shot on Stafford.
