Despite missing Wednesday's practice, rookie left tackle Ronnie Stanley said he intends to play in the Ravens' game at the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
"It's going to take a lot for me to miss a game," the sixth overall pick said in the team's locker room after practice. "I haven't missed a game all my college career. It's going to take a lot."
The first-round pick out of Notre Dame did not appear hampered as he walked out of the locker room Wednesday. He declined to specify the reason for his absence or say if he was injured during Sunday's 25-20 victory at the Cleveland Browns.
"I can't really tell you a moment in time exactly," he said. "It's kind of all a blur."
Asked if his absence was precautionary, Stanley replied, "I would say so."
The 6-foot-6, 320-pound Stanley, who has started in the Ravens' first two contests thus far, said he is not in the habit of sitting out a game and would not like to start that trend at the pro level.
"A lot of pride, especially knowing that you're someone who can help your team and you're a real factor in that," he said. "That's definitely something that's always in the back of my mind. If I can help my team, I'm going to do everything I can to do that."
