The Ravens announced before their game Monday night against the Arizona Cardinals that they promoted wide receiver Jeremy Butler from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. To make room for Butler, the Ravens waived rookie running back Terrence Magee.

Butler, who spent last season on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, had 10 catches for 76 yards and a touchdown in the preseason before he was one of the Ravens' final roster cuts. With him being activated, the Ravens have eight receivers on the 53-man roster.

Magee, who is a candidate to return to the Ravens practice squad if he clears waivers, was activated last week as insurance for Justin Forsett, who was dealing with an ankle injury. But he was expendable because the team already had three running backs: Forsett, Buck Allen and Raheem Mostert.
