Ravens open preseason Aug. 7 against 49ers at home

Two seasons after the Ravens beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII, the teams will meet again in the Ravens' preseason opener.

The Ravens will play the 49ers on Aug. 7 at M&T Bank Stadium, the NFL announced Wednesday, marking the first time the teams have played since the Ravens' 34-31 Super Bowl victory at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome after the 2012 regular season.

It will be the third time Ravens coach John Harbaugh will face the 49ers, who are coached by his younger brother, Jim Harbaugh, with two previous wins against them.

Dates for two of the Ravens' four preseason games have yet to be determined. The Ravens travel to play the Dallas Cowboys during the second week of the preseason. The Ravens will host the Washington Redskins in Week 3 and will finish the preseason Aug. 28 on the road against the New Orleans Saints.

It will be the first preseason game against the Cowboys for the Ravens. The Redskins have played the Ravens in six of the past eight years during the preseason and last played in 2011.
