Ravens linebacker Arthur Brown apparently making strides

Ravens third-year inside linebacker Arthur Brown, a second-round NFL draft pick in 2013, has worked with the third team for the majority of training camp, prompting plenty of speculation about his chances of making the team's opening-week roster.

However, Brown had a game-high five tackles against the Saints and spent Monday's practice working primarily with the second team and also impressing in special teams drills.

"Arthur is playing fast — I think you noticed — both on defense and special teams," said Ravens associate head coach and special teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg. "He's a gifted young man, and I see him using his hands well, and he has always been able to run really well. I think that showed up in practice today, he showed up in the game last week, and I trust he'll do it again this week."
