Ravens kicker Justin Tucker named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for seventh time
Already the Ravens' single-season leader in points, field goals made and field goals made of 50 yards and more, Justin Tucker is chasing the franchise lead for Player of the Week honors, too.
The sixth-year kicker claimed the seventh AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honor of his career Wednesday morning. Tucker trails only Ray Lewis, who earned eight Player of the Week awards on the defensive side.
Tucker accounted for 13 of the team's points in a 19-14 win against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. He converted field goals of 57, 54, and 52 yards to become the first kicker in NFL history to make three field goals of 50-plus yards in the first half of a game and was just the ninth kicker since 1960 to boot three field goals of 50-plus yards in a single game.
