The Ravens had enough players out of practice Saturday in Owings Mills to field two full units.
Twenty-three players were not at the morning workout because of injury or had been given the day off by Ravens coach John Harbaugh.
At least three of the missing – cornerbacks Kyle Arrington and Tavon Young, as well as linebacker Anthony Levine Sr. – came out of Thursday's 22-19 preseason victory over the Carolina Panthers at M&T Bank Stadium with apparent injuries. They did not return to the game.
Another of those not in attendance Saturday, linebacker Chris Carter, was pulled after the opening kickoff to undergo concussion protocol, but returned and played well.
Among those who continue to miss practice were wide receivers Michael Campanaro, Chris Matthews and Chris Moore and tight ends Crockett Gilmore and Dennis Pitta.
Defensive tackle Brandon Williams, who missed Thursday's game after the birth of his second child, also did not practice Saturday.
None of the five players who started training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list – outside linebackers Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil, wide receivers Steve Smith Sr. and Breshad Perriman as well a s running back Lorenzo Taliaferro – have returned to practice.
Harbaugh said last week that he expected Suggs, Dumervil, Smith and Perriman to be ready for the start of the regular season.
