Ravens rookie wide receiver Breshad Perriman will get to try his hand at a different sport tonight when he throws out the ceremonial first pitch at the Orioles game at Camden Yards.
The Orioles host the Seattle Mariners at 7:05 p.m.
Growing up in Georgia, Perriman played football and ran track and didn't play baseball in high school.
Signed to a four-year, $8.705 million contract that includes a $4.59 million signing bonus and $7.08 million guaranteed, Periman was selected 26th overall in the first round of the NFL draft out of Central Florida.
Perriman is a 6-foot-2, 212-pound former all-conference selection who ran the 40-yard dash in 4.22 seconds. He's expected to have a major role working in tandem with five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Steve Smith.
Perriman caught 50 passes for 1,044 yards and nine touchdowns last season before declaring for the draft. He averaged 20.9 yards a catch. He finished his career with 115 receptions for 2,243 yards and 16 touchdowns.
