Ravens defensive end Steven Means signs $510,000 exclusive-rights tender

Ravens defensive end Steven Means has signed his $510,000 exclusive-rights tender.

Means is a 6-foot-3, 260-pound former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player who has drawn praise from coach John Harbaugh and general manager Ozzie Newsome in recent months as a young pass rusher with potential.

He played in 11 games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012 and 2013 and has six career tackles after being drafted in the fifth round in 2012. Means played collegiately at the University of Buffalo.

He had 185 career tackles, 29.5 for a loss, 18.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, two interceptions and five blocked kicks in college.
