Ravens defensive end Chris Canty missed a second straight day of practice Thursday while nursing an ankle injury, though the veteran lineman downplayed the injury Wednesday and said he expects to play Sunday.
Canty, who missed four games with a wrist injury and infection in October, has four tackles in each of the past two games. He has been one of the Ravens' most active run stoppers since defensive tackle Haloti Ngata was suspended four games for using Adderall.
Tight end Owen Daniels and inside linebacker Daryl Smith, both of whom have been on a maintenance plan that includes taking Thursdays off, were also absent Thursday.
Wide receiver Jacoby Jones, who missed practice Wednesday because of illness, returned to practice Thursday, and safety Will Hill and guard Kelechi Osemele, who missed because of non-injury reasons, also returned.
