Besides defensive tackle Haloti Ngata and outside linebacker Terrell Suggs, another candidate to possibly have his contract restructured this offseason is cornerback Lardarius Webb.
Webb had a strong season and rebounded from major knee surgery a year ago. He was one of the team's leading tacklers, with 74.
But Webb is also scheduled to make $7.5 million next season with a cap figure of $10.5 million. The Ravens might want to lower both.
Maybe running back Ray Rice didn't see much action in the first half Sunday because of the shouting match he had with fullback Vonta Leach shortly before the game started.
The two had to be separated, according to a member of the media who watched it unfold.
Maybe it was the result of pressure, but you would figure the two would be getting along heading into a game that would have major impact on the team's playoff aspirations.
It's been a long year for Leach, whose playing time diminished once the Ravens got away from the two-back set. It has been an even longer season for Rice, who was a non-factor in 2013 because of a leg injury.
Rice needs to go back to being that nice, humble kid who practiced and played hard as a rookie.
Run game coordinator Juan Castillo has taken a lot of criticism this season, and he'll be leaving soon. He won't have a tough time finding another job.
Castillo is a nice person and a good coach, but he tried to take charge too soon instead of gradually learning the personalities of not just his players but his fellow coaches.
Regardless of the criticism, the guy is very, very smart.
Cornerback Jimmy Smith had a strong season, but if he wants to take that final step he needs to improve his ball awareness.
Smith is big, strong and can play press coverage, but doesn't often break on the ball. A lot of times, he can't even find it.
There is a lot of talk around town about the Ravens finding some offensive linemen, but how about some defensive linemen that can rush the passer?
If end Arthur Jones leaves because of the big contract he is expected to receive from another team, then the Ravens will lose their most complete lineman.
The Ravens have failed for years to get consistent pressure on the quarterback unless they blitz.
