SAN DIEGO CHARGERS (2-5) AT RAVENS (1-6), Sunday, 1 p.m., CBS
Sports Content Editor
Prediction: Ravens 34, Chargers, 30
Comment: The Chargers rely heavily on Philip Rivers' arm, but the Ravens secondary showed glimmers of improvement against Carson Palmer and his top receivers so they might be able to hold Rivers in check enough to win. The Ravens' luck has to turn at some point, and what better week than a home game against the 2-5 Chargers?

Prediction: Ravens 37, Chargers 34
Comment: Don't start either of these defenses in fantasy on Sunday. This will be a shootout, and after falling short in every other opportunity this year, the Ravens will finally be the team who scores last and wins heading into the bye.
Prediction: Chargers 33, Ravens 30
Comment: The Chargers are banged up on the offensive line, but I can't pick the Ravens against Philip Rivers, or any other good quarterback.
Prediction: Ravens 34, Chargers 24
Comment: It’s too tough to imagine the Ravens starting 0-3 at home and going into the bye week at 1-7. I fear for the Ravens defense against prolific Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, but believe it or not, a late defensive play will be the difference in this one.
Prediction: Ravens 26, Chargers 23
Comment: This is one of those situations where it's hard to pick either team, so I'm just going with the home-field advantage. If the law of averages wants to catch up with the Ravens this week, all the better.
Prediction: Ravens 30, Chargers 28
Comment: It might seem like lunacy to pick the Ravens against a top-shelf quarterback. But the San Diego defense is awfully weak, and the Ravens will eventually start winning more of these close games.

Prediction: Chargers 31, Ravens 27
Comment: If it comes down to the fourth quarter — and Ravens games always do — you have to give the edge to Philip Rivers and the Chargers. With his quick release and savvy decision-making, Rivers has torched much better Ravens defenses than he'll face Sunday.
