The Ravens will open the preseason against the defending NFC champion Carolina Panthers and close it against the Saints in New Orleans, the site of their Super Bowl XLVII victory.
The team's preseason schedule, which was released Thursday, also includes a road game against the Indianapolis Colts and a home game versus the Detroit Lions.
Times and in some cases dates are still to be determined, but the Ravens will face the Panthers on the new natural grass surface at M&T Bank Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 11. It will mark the seventh preseason meeting between the two teams.
The game against the Colts will be played between Aug. 18-22 at Lucas Oil Stadium. It will mark the first time ever that Indianapolis and the Ravens will play in the preseason.
In the third preseason game, which is when starters traditionally play the most, the Ravens will host former teammate Haloti Ngata and the Lions on Saturday, Aug. 27. The Ravens and Lions have matched up in the preseason three times with the most recent coming in 2012.
Traditionally, the NFL has released the regular-season schedule in mid-to-late April. The Ravens, who went 5-11 last season, play at home next season against the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins. Their eight road contests will be against the Bengals, Browns, Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots, New York Giants and New York Jets.
