Ray Rice practices for third day in a row, Pernell McPhee returns

The Baltimore Sun

Ravens Pro Bowl running back Ray Rice practiced for the third consecutive day, an encouraging sign about his status for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.

Rice missed last week's game against the Houston Texans after suffering a strained left hip flexor against the Cleveland Browns.

Meanwhile, rush outside linebacker Pernell McPhee returned to practice Friday after missing the previous two days with a chronic knee problem.

Practicing again were running back Shaun Draughn (high-ankle sprain), inside linebacker Arthur Brown (strained left pectoral), defensive end Chris Canty (groin), wide receiver Deonte Thompson (left foot sprain) and rookie defensive tackle Brandon Williams (right big toe).

Pro Bowl kick returner Jacoby Jones (sprained right medial collateral ligament) has already been ruled out for Sunday, and nose tackle Terrence Cody (sprained left knee) and center Ryan Jensen (foot surgery) haven't practiced all week.

The Bills ruled out kicker Dustin Hopkins, cornerbacks Stephon Gilmore and Ron Brooks and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin.

Cornerback Leodis McKelvin is questionable along with safety Jairus Byrd.

Wide receiver Stevie Johnson is probable, as are running back  C.J. Spiller, offensive guards Doug Legursky and Kraig Urbik, defensive end Mario Williams, defensive tackle Kyle Williams and defensive end Marcell Dareus
