Dumervil one of just three players missing from Ravens' first practice of the regular season

In their first practice of the regular season, the Ravens nearly had a full house Wednesday morning.

Only outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil, cornerback Jerraud Powers and running back Kenneth Dixon were absent from the session. Dumervil, a projected starter, has not fully practiced since being activated from the physically unable to perform list on Aug. 22. His status for Sunday's season opener against the Buffalo Bills at 1 p.m. at M&T Bank Stadium is in serious doubt.

Powers is battling an ankle sprain, and Dixon has been sidelined since straining a medial collateral ligament in his left knee in the team's 30-9 victory over the Detroit Lions on Aug. 27.

Outside linebacker Za'Darius Smith made his first appearance since since Aug. 24, when he suffered an ankle injury.
