Billy Cundiff has practiced the past two days – albeit on a limited basis – which would seem to indicate that the Ravens kicker is inching closer to being ready to play in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals.
But special teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg wasn't quite ready to give Cundiff – who has been bothered by a balky left calf – the green light during his weekly media briefing Thursday.
"He had two good practices," Rosburg said. "We'll see what the trainers say tomorrow."
One factor that could emerge in resting Cundiff until the playoffs is the presence of Shayne Graham, who spent seven seasons with the Bengals and might be well-versed in kicking at Paul Brown Stadium.
But Rosburg said Graham's experience likely wouldn't sway the coaching staff's decision.
"I don't think we're going to necessarily weigh where we're playing in the equation," Rosburg said. "We're going to weigh the health of Billy and make a decision based on that."
