Ravens All-Pro defensive tackle Haloti Ngata got through practice today, and it's expected that he'll start Sunday night's showdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field.
Ngata had missed the previous two days of practice with a thigh injury.
"I’ll feel good about it Sunday if he’s playing," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. "He did more today. It’s nothing real serious or anything like that. He’s fighting through it and it’s kind of a mid-season-type deal."
Left guard Ben Grubbs also made it through today's practice, but he's essentially a game-time decision for Sunday. A toe injury has kept him out since the Ravens' 35-7 season-opening victory over the Steelers.
"It hasn’t been full practice," Harbaugh said. "It’s a process, it’s a plus that he’s been able to practice a little more this week than he has in the past. We haven’t had him out here full speed really yet. I’m hoping. We got our fingers crossed, we have the last few weeks. It’s better than it has been. We’ll just have to see.”
Grubbs called it a "blessing" that he made it trough three practices and he's still walking.
