The NFL has set several key dates on its calendar for next year.
The free agency signing period is set for March 15 and the deadline to assign franchise and transition tags to players is Feb. 22.
Starting March 12, NFL teams are allowed to contact and enter contract negotiations with agents for players who will become unrestricted free agents on March 15 at 4 p.m. Contracts can't be executed with a new club until 4 p.m. on March 15.
The NFL owners meetings are set for March 20 to March 23 in Boca Raton, Fla.
The NFL draft is set for April 28 to April 30 at a location to be determined. It was held in Chicago this year. Los Angeles is among the potential destinations.
The Pro Bowl returns to Hawaii on Jan. 31 in Honolulu.
