After failing to pass his conditioning test over the past two days, Ravens wide receiver Mike Wallace is back on the practice field.
Wallace, the veteran free-agent acquisition for the Ravens, passed the mandatory conditioning test and joined his teammates Friday for the second full-squad practice of training camp.
Fellow wide receiver Dobson Collins, the Canadian Football League veteran who was signed Wednesday, also passed the test and was practicing for the Ravens.
Cornerback Jerraud Powers apparently has not passed his conditoning test and he remains sidelined. Rookie running back Kenneth Dixon also isn't practicing after he tweaked his left knee in yesterday's first full-squad workout.
Upon joining the rest of his new teammates on the practice field Friday morning, Wallace said to anybody within earshot, "I'm back."
Wallace had a quiet session and was mostly held out of the 11-on-11 drills. He did return several kickoffs during the special teams portion of practice. He wasn't available to reporters after spending nearly a half-hour after practice signing autographs for fans.
Wallace, 29, caught 39 passes for 473 yards and two touchdowns with the Minnesota Vikings last season. He signed a two-year, $11.5 million deal with the Ravens in March.
The rest of the Ravens not practicing are all on the physically unable to perform list: running back Lorenzo Taliaferro (foot), wide receivers Steve Smith Sr. (Achilles) and Breshad Perriman (knee), and outside linebackers Terrell Suggs (Achilles) and Elvis Dumervil (foot).
