New Haven tight end Mike Flacco auditioned Tuesday for a dozen NFL teams during a Pro Day workout on campus.
The younger brother of Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, Mike Flacco ran the 40-yard dash in 4.68 seconds and registered a 9-7 broad jump. He also bench pressed 225 pounds 17 times, had a 4.25 short shuttle and a 7.03 three-cone drill.
Mike Flacco, 26, declared early for the NFL draft after being named a third-team Division II All-American in his lone season at New Haven. It was the first time he had played football since high school. He caught 30 passes for 591 yards and nine touchdowns in 10 games.
A former Orioles and Boston Red Sox minor league baseball player, Mike Flacco is represented by veteran agent Joe Linta, who negotiated Joe Flacco's $120.6 million contract last March.
Mike Flacco is an athletic 6-foot-5, 245-pounder who retired from baseball last year after the Orioles traded him to the Red Sox. In 2009, the Orioles drafted him in the 31st round.
He's set to work out for NFL teams again on March 27.
