Maryland defensive tackle Darius Kilgo drafted by Broncos in sixth round

Maryland defensive tackle Darius Kilgo was drafted in the sixth round by the Denver Broncos.

Kilgo was a three-year starter for the TErps.

Kilgo has visited the Buffalo Bills, Washington Redskins, Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins and met with the New England Patriots prior to the Terps' Pro Day workout in College Park. He also worked out for the Ravens at their local prospect day.

Kilgo was projected as a late-round draft pick.

The 6-foot-2, 313-pound North Carolina native played in the East-West Shrine all-star game.

At his Pro Day workout, Kilgo bench pressed 225 pounds 33 times and ran the 40-yard dash in 5.1 seconds.

Kilgo had 31 tackles, including eight for losses and two sacks last season. As a junior, Kilgo had 37 tackles, including 6.5 for losses, and 2.5 sacks. In his sophomore season, Kilgo had 40 tackles, including five for losses, with a fumble recovery and a forced fumble.
