Ray Lewis practicing again for Ravens (Updated)

Ravens coach John Harbaugh acknowledged that injured linebacker Jameel McClain's roster spot could eventually go to Ray Lewis, who could be activated this week from injured reserve with a designation to return.

Lewis, who is trying to return from a torn right triceps, was working today, marking the third consecutive week that he's practicing.

Linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (ankle) and tight end Ed Dickson (knee) were also both practicing on a limited basis. Ellerbe and Dickson have missed three straight games.

Wide receiver Torrey Smith (concussion) watched practice out of uniform, an indication that he's yet to pass his baseline concussion test necessary for his return to the field. Fellow second-year wide receiver Tandon Doss (ankle) also was out on the field but did not participate.

Running back Bernard Pierce (concussion), right guard Marshal Yanda (ankle) and safety Bernard Pollard (chest) also did not practice for the Ravens.

Ellerbe, Dickson, fullback Vonta Leach (ankle), linebacker Albert McClellan (thigh/shoulder), defensive tackle Arthur Jones (shoulder) and safety James Ihedigbo (neck) were limited.

Wide receivers LaQuan Williams (thigh) and Deonte Thompson (thigh), defensive end Pernell McPhee (thigh), cornerback Jimmy Smith (abdomen) and safety Ed Reed (shoulder) practiced in full.

Meanwhile, the Giants were missing five starters from practice. Running back Ahmad Bradshaw (knee/foot), wide receiver Hakeem Nicks (knee), guard Chris Snee (hip), center David Baas (hip/shoulder) and defensive end Justin Tuck (shoulder) all were sidelined.

Defensive tackle Chris Canty (neck), cornerback Prince Amukamara (hamstring) and safeties Kenny Phillips (knee) and Tyler Sash (hamstring) were limited.
