The Ravens are shorthanded headed into tonight's preseason opener against the San Francisco 49ers at M&T Bank Stadium.

Starting cornerback Lardarius Webb remains out for at least half the preseason with a lower back injury that's sidelined him since the second day of training camp.

Offensive guard Will Rackley has been out since the beginning of camp with a concussion.

Nose tackle Terrence Cody is still on the physically unable to perform list after undergoing offseason hip surgery.

Although rookie defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (back spasms) and rookie wide receiver Michael Campanaro (bruised ribs) both played, the Ravens sat out veteran middle linebacker Daryl Smith (groin) and cornerback Marrio Norman (undisclosed).

Smith was rested for precautionary reasons as he just returned to practice this week. Norman and Smith both went through drills before the game.

Offensive tackle Brett Van Sloten and defensive tackle Levi Brown didn't play.
