Ravens' John Urschel, Buck Allen are healthy scratches for the second straight week

CLEVELAND — Despite Ravens coach John Harbaugh saying Monday that John Urschel was ready to play, the one-time projected starting left guard was a game-day inactive Sunday against the Cleveland Browns for the second straight week. Rookie fourth-round pick Alex Lewis will again start at left guard with Ryan Jensen active as the top reserve interior offensive lineman.

Outside linebacker Za'Darius Smith was active after not practicing all week because of an ankle injury. The coaching staff put Smith through an extensive workout on the field before the game and he moved around well.

The Ravens' seven inactives are the exact same as they were last week in their season-opening victory over the Buffalo Bills. That included veteran cornerback Jerraud Powers, who practiced all week and is seemingly recovered from an ankle injury, but will have to wait to make his Ravens' debut.

The other five inactive players were running back Kenneth Dixon (knee), outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil (foot), running back Buck Allen, cornerback Will Davis and rookie defensive tackle Willie Henry.

With Allen not playing, the Ravens will again go with just two tue running backs: Justin Forsett and Terrance West (Northwestern High, Towson University).

The Browns left wide receiver Jordan Payton, offensive lineman Shon Coleman, linebacker Scooby Wright, defensive lineman John Hughes III and Gabe Wright, defensive backs Briean Boddy-Calhoun and Marcus Burley inactive.
