Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Flacco earned the honor after completing 21 of 29 passes for 306 yards and a career-high five touchdowns during the Ravens' 48-17 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday. He registered a 146.0 quarterback rating.

Flacco was extremely accurate, with two of his eight incompletions coming on a dropped pass by wide receiver Jacoby Jones and another on a spike to stop the clock.

Flacco is thriving in new offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak's West Coast system, completing 140 of 220 passes for 1,596 yards for a 63.6 completion percentage. He's passed for 12 touchdowns and three interceptions for a 97.8 quarterback rating.

"It was a historic performance," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Monday. "I don't think it's just Joe, although Joe obviously is the driver of it all. It's good to see the football world see what Joe is capable of in that way. He's that kind of player. To see him play that way is a great thing."
