Joe Flacco is active, but missed early pre-game warmups

The good news for the Ravens is that quarterback Joe Flacco is active for Sunday's game against the New York Jets. But Flacco was not on the field here at MetLife Stadium to take part in pregame warmups as early as he usually has been.

Roughly 50 minutes before the scheduled kickoff, he finally took the field for the full team warmup.

His late arrival could be a case in which Flacco is getting extra attention for the right shoulder ailment that forced him to skip practice Wednesday and Thursday before returning on a limited basis on Friday.

It is unusual for him not to get warmed up with his receivers and tight ends -- a group that will not include wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. (ankle), who will sit out his second consecutive game.

As for Flacco's offensive line, right guard Marshal Yanda (shoulder) and rookie left tackle Ronnie Stanley (foot) are deactivated again. The front will likely consist of rookie Alex Lewis at left tackle, John Urschel at left guard, Jeremy Zuttah at center, Ryan Jensen at right guard, and Rick Wagner at right tackle. Wagner sat out last Sunday's contest because of a thigh injury.

Stanley's absence continues to be puzzling. He practiced fully all three days leading up to the weekend, but he will miss his fourth consecutive game.

The defense will play without outside linebackers Terrell Suggs (left biceps) and Elvis Dumervil (foot), inside linebacker C.J. Mosley (hamstring), and cornerback Shareece Wright (hamstring).

Za'Darius Smith and rookie Matthew Judon will likely start at outside linebacker. Albert McClellan is expected to join Zachary Orr at inside linebacker.

And rookie Tavon Young is poised to make his second straight start at cornerback. Young will start opposite Jimmy Smith, who was limited in practice last week due to a concussion sustained in the second quarter of the loss to the Giants.

The Jets defense will play without starting defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson, who leads the team with seven tackles for loss and has recorded 2½ sacks and six quarterback hits. Lorenzo Mauldin will replace Wilkerson.

New York has also deactivated quarterbacks Christian Hackenberg and Bryce Petty, wide receiver Jeremy Butler, linebacker Darron Lee (ankle), right tackle Brent Qvale (neck), and tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins (ankle).
