Ravens' Jimmy Smith still sidelined, in jeopardy of missing second straight game

Ravens coach John Harbaugh expressed hope Wednesday that top cornerback Jimmy Smith would be on the practice field during the team's Thanksgiving Day workout. However, Smith remained sidelined Thursday with a back injury, putting his status for Sunday's key AFC North matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals into further doubt.

Smith also missed last Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys after practicing just once during the week.

Running back Lorenzo Taliaferro (thigh) and offensive lineman Alex Lewis (ankle) also didn't practice. Center Jeremy Zuttah and rush linebacker Terrell Suggs were given the day off. Tight end Crockett Gillmore (thigh) and defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (shoulder) practiced on a limited basis.

After not practicing Wednesday, starting guard Marshal Yanda (shoulder) and nose tackle Brandon Williams (back/hand) returned to action Thursday. Both Yanda and Williams, along with strong-side linebacker Elvis Dumervil (foot), were full participants in Thursday's workout.

For the Bengals, wide receiver A.J. Green (hamstring), tight end C.J. Uzomah (calf) and defensive backs Josh Shaw (hip) and Shawn Williams (hamstring) didn't practice.
