Jacoby Jones named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month

Ravens return specialist Jacoby Jones' stellar season has been recognized by the NFL.

He was honored as the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month today.

Jones' pair of kick returns for touchdowns tied for an NFL high.

He had a 105-yard kickoff return for a touchdown during a 55-20 victory over the Oakland Raiders.

And Jones contributed a 63-yard punt return for a touchdown in a 13-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jones has three returns for touchdowns this season, including a 108-yard kickoff return for a score against the Dallas Cowboys that tied for the longest return in NFL history.

Jones ranks second in the NFL with a 35.8 kickoff return average this season, just behind Minnesota Vikings standout Percy Harvin's 35.9 average.

This marks Jones' first career Player of the Month award through six NFL seasons.

He's the first Ravens kick returner to win the award since B.J. Sams in October of 2004.
