Houston Texans owner Bob McNair doesn't sound interested in ex-Raven Ray Rice

It doesn't sound like Houston Texans owner Bob McNair wants former Ravens running back Ray Rice to join his team.

"I think I'd want to talk with our players, and I don't know that that's something that they would like," McNair told reporters Thursday. "We want people that fit in our locker room. ... We've got four good running backs. I don't know that he's as good as any of the four we've got. I don't see anybody else trying to sign him, so I think that's a pretty good indication of where he stands."

The Texans looked like a potential landing spot for Rice because starting running back Arian Foster suffered a groin injury during training camp that will keep him out for a chunk of the regular season.

Rice has not officially worked out for an NFL team this offseason. He missed all of last season following fallout from a domestic violence incident with his wife in an Atlantic City, N.J., casino elevator.
